Artisan chocolatier re-positions himself in the marketplace.
Belgian and Swiss trained chocolatier and artisan baker Rob Walker has recently commissioned FSG to rebrand and develop his artisan handmade chocolates and bakery business.
Walkers Handmade Chocolates have been making fine chocolates for over 6 years from their premises in North Yorkshire, but due to a lack of understanding and appreciation of brand awareness they were failing to meet their sales targets. FSG were invited to assess the brand and put forward a proposal for a long term action plan.
Although Walkers Handmade Chocolates knew their product could compete on quality with some of the best chocolates in the UK, they needed help in realising the most effective way to take it to both an existing and a new market.
In order to maximise on the local reputation of the bakery, FSG have created an intelligent brand for the Walkers name, with variations designed to suit both the bakery and the chocolate shop.
The appropriateness of the identity, photography, tone of voice and the confident colour scheme were vital in the success of this project and were applied to product packaging, literature, instore graphics and retail outlets. FSG are also working on a Flash website and online e-commerce store.
In addition to the above, FSG have also undertaken all the photography required for this exciting project.
As part of the re-evaluation of Walkers Handmade Chocolates, FSG were heavily involved in the product development and PR campaigns that took place for the launch in October 2010.
